-- 08/09/05 Night, pushing into morning --

Jacky and Sebastian enter, on the prowl. The activity was slowly dying down as the night pressed on, but there were still plenty of prey. Jacky moves away from Sebastian after a couple of seconds and makes her way through the crowd alone.

He carefully surveyed the club, blue eyes cold, analytical. It was a nice place, well nicer than some he'd been to anyhow. Sebastian acknowledged Jacky's departure with a slight nod, and he stepped off on his own.

The sound of the music, the scent of blood, alcohol, and the vague stink of humans was all too familiar. He surveyed the dance floor until he found a girl who looked a bit drunk off on her own. He watched her a minute or two to be sure she was the one, then worked his way towards her. He hoped it was only a bit drunk, he wanted to walk back to the hotel under his own power.

The dark is a trustworthy ally if you need one, she wraps you in her embrace and you become her.

Though Sebastian does make a new friend who seemed to quite like him, his first efforts to open a rapport are not totally successful and conversation comes out a little stiffly and she loses interest. He can tell he'll come across as pushy if he tries to get her to go somewhere private with him.
Jacky gets a little further with the man she approaches first, but despite a remarkably quick show of wit on her part to lighten his mood and keep his interest he just doesn't seem interested in anything more... intimate.

Only slightly perturbed, Sebastian tries again, only to find his second attempt turned down before he even gets started. Persistence proves a little helpful, as he manages to start conversation with the third woman he approaches and despite his normal clumsiness with words and the rising frustration at his continued failure he does manage to keep her engaged in conversation for some time. But at the last hurdle he falls again and his suggestion is turned down.
Sebastian should probably give up at this point, the constant frustration was only making the already-hungry beast raise it's hackles.

Meanwhile Jacky works on her second possible victim and goes through the motions again. She makes a good show of being genuinely interested in his boring life and even manages to find something positive to say about it before making her move, to which he responds positively. It seems she has found someone that would be quite happy to retire to a secluded spot with her.

((I just felt like rolling through it for once, since I normally just assume it all goes to plan... it doesn't, it seems :P you might want to work on those social abilities))

(Wonderful- Of course when I need things to go smoothly, they don't.)

Sebastain frowned, this was not going well. Perhaps it was due to the fact he'd just come off a battle, and being mellow and charming were just not going to be the method of the evening. He rested against the nearest wall as he debated his next move. Inwardly he fought his hunger, watching the club quietly.

He caught a glimpse of Jacky across the place, seemed as if she'd had more luck. He sighed and moved towards the exit, not leaving quite yet.
